NWC is a 24-hour residential home
Staff must be present at all times
Environment is both a home and a workplace

Resident Meet & Greet

Resident Meet & Greet
Purpose: Help the candidate understand who they would be supporting, without disclosing care plans or procedures
Introduce residents by first name
Highlight a positive and fun characteristic about each client as they’re introduced
Provide general examples of support needs, such as:
Mobility supports (wheelchairs, lifts, etc.)
Communication styles
Assistance with daily living tasks
Emphasize individuality – no two residents have the same needs

Support Equipment

Point out visible adaptive equipment (e.g., wheelchair, Hoyer lift, etc.)
Explain generally:
Staff are trained to use this equipment
